Organization’s Governance
 
UST is an equal opportunity organization for both male and female. In order to ensure good governance,  It follows participatory decision-making process. Decisions come through discussion, review and fair judgment of the issues. UST is guided by its policy and guidelines to ensure good governance. Executive Director functions as the Chief Executive.
 
UST functions following its constitution. There are two constitutional bodies: 
 
General Council: The General Council, which is the legislative body, consists of 23 members of diverse background. It forms the Executive Committee democratically. The General Council assembles annually in Annual General Meeting (AGM) to review activities, and facilitate next years plan and budget and approve plan and budget and audit reports.
 
Executive Committee: The overall management of organization is led by the Executive Committee (EC).  UST’s EC consists of seven experienced professionals from different sections of the society like educationist, reputed NGO leaders, and social workers. The EC is headed by Chairperson who is also supported by one Vice Chairperson, one General Secretary and a Treasurer and three Members. The Executive Committee is accountable to General Council.

Treasurer Masters in Zoology, Executive Director of Coalition for the Urban Poor (CUP), Ex-Director of Bangladesh Women’s Health  Coalition (BWHC) and  engaged in Social works since 1987
04 .Shabbir Ahmed Chowdhury
Member B.A (Hons), M.A in Economics & M.A. in Development Studies with specialization in Agriculture and Rural Development. Currently ‘’ Honorary Adviser’’ &. Ex-Director Education at Institute for Inclusive Finance and Development (InM): PKSF, Ex-Director of BRAC International Program, professionally he is engaged in social work since 1976.
05. Dr. Samina Sultana
Member MBBS, Assistant Professor obstetrics & gynecology at President Abdul Hamid Medical College and Hospital, Ex-General manager, Marie Stopes Bangladesh, engaged in social works.
06. Nikhel Chandra Halder
Member M.A in English
Former Senior Administrative Officer, Norwegian Embassy, Dhaka, engaged in social work since 1976
07. Md. Najibar Rahman
General Secretary MA, MEd.
Founder Head Master and Principal,
Nabakishaloy High School and Girls College, Chanpara, Rupganj, Narayanganj.
40 years experience of Social Work.
